King of Pops is looking for energetic individuals to serve up good vibes and frozen treats on the sands of Oak Island! This is the perfect seasonal opportunity for anyone looking for an active, outdoor job with competitive, reliable pay.
Job Responsibilities
Sun & Sand: Your "office" is the beach. You will manage a King of Pops pushcart, walking the shores of Oak Island to find thirsty customers.
Flexible Shifts: Shifts typically run 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We work with your schedule to find hours that fit your summer.
Independent Work: Once you hit the sand, you manage your route and your sales strategy for the day.
Spread Joy: You aren't just selling pops; you’re creating memories for families on vacation.
Schedule
We serve on the beach from 10am-4pm 7 days a week. Your shift schedule is flexible.
Pay, Perks & Benefits
We offer a guaranteed hourly wage so you never have to worry about a slow day, combined with performance-based bonuses for those who hustle.
Base Pay: $12.00 per hour (Guaranteed)
Commission: Earn $0.50 for every single pop you sell.
Daily Bonus: Sell 100 pops in a shift? Get a $25 Bonus!
Tips: You keep 100% of your tips (Beachgoers are generous!).
Estimated Average Earning Potential: $20 - $35 per hour.
Requirements
Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
Physical Requirements: You must be capable of walking several miles and pushing a cart weighing approximately 150 lbs through soft sand in warm summer weather. (Think of it like pushing a heavy mower for 5 hours, but on the beach!)
Outgoing Personality: You need to be comfortable saying "Hello!" to strangers and enthusiastically explaining our flavors.
Reliability: You must have reliable transportation to the cart depot on Oak Island.
Weekend/Holiday Availability: The beach is busiest on weekends and holidays (July 4th is our Super Bowl!), so availability on these days is highly preferred.
