DO I NEED A LIFEJACKET?
When using a SUP beyond a "swimming, surfing or bathing area," having a life jacket is required by the US Coast Guard. Kayaks always require a life jacket. It is recommend by Mr. Beach Rentals every time for all of our products and we provide a life jacket with kayak and paddle board rentals at no additional charge.
ARE THE PADDLE AND LIFE VEST INCLUDED WITH RENTALS?
Paddles and PFDs are free with rentals! They will be added to your reservation automatically when booking water sports equipment online or over the phone. Excess life vest are an additional charge.
WHAT SIZE LIFE VESTS DO YOU HAVE?
The PFDs that come with equipment are universal adult (90 lbs and up). We also have 3 other sizes including Youth Small (30-50 lbs), Youth (50-90 lbs) and XXXL. If you would like a different size than the universal adult, please make a note in the comments when booking online or let us know over the phone.

CAN THE DELIVERY LOCATION BE DIFFERENT THAN THE PICKUP LOCATION?
It is assumed the pickup location is the same as the dropoff location but you can transport the equipment to another location if you have a SUV/Truck large enough to do so and secure the equipment. Make sure to let Mr. Beach Rentals know your pickup location if different than the dropoff location. You may use the comments section to write that info when booking online.
CAN WE USE KAYAKS AND STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS IN THE OCEAN?
Yes! We love using them in the ocean ourselves! Please note this may not be for everyone as conditions can be much more challenging. It is also imperative that you use equipment that is suitable for use in the ocean. We do not recommend using sit-inside kayaks as they may fill up with water and can be a massive challenge to bring back to shore if flipped. Sit-on-top kayaks are a much better choice as you can flip them over and hop back in much easier! We have a great selection of equipment so feel free to read their descriptions

HOW DO I BOOK A RENTAL ONLINE?
To get started with your rental, scroll to the top of the page and locate which beach you are at. Click "Rentals". From there, click "Book Now" beside the product you would like. Choose your rental start/end day and select the quantity you would like; when you are ready, press continue. Verify the rental information and fill in the forms below. The address you list will be where we will deliver. After entering the required data, read the terms and check the box. Finalize your reservation by pressing "Continue" and entering your card information!
HOW DO I BOOK MULTIPLE PRODUCTS?
If you would like to add two seperate rental products, look for the the green plus sign at the top labeled "Add to Booking" on the same screen you fill in your name, address, etc. Select the other products and finish the booking forms when you have everything you want.
THE WEBSITE SAYS A SUP/KAYAK/BIKE IS AVAILABLE AT A CERTAIN TIME BUT IT WILL NOT LET ME RENT THE EQUIPMENT. WHAT'S WRONG?
If you are trying to rent for multiple days, the equipment must be available each day during your rental. Please check the availability calender listed next to the product description or call us for more information.
Questions about bicycles
DO I NEED A BIKE HELMET?
North Carolina Law requires all kids 16 and under to wear a bike helmet. We have helmets for all rider's head sizes.
WHAT SIZE BIKE DO I NEED?
The typical adult cruiser bike has 26" diameter tires. These fit riders from 5' to 6' best. For taller riders, bikes with 29" tires will be a more comfortable ride. Riders 4'5 to 5'5" will enjoy the 24" tires. Kids between 3'4" and 4'8" are typically able to ride the 20" bicycles.
DO LOCKS COME WITH BIKE RENTALS?
Each bike will have a lock with the same number combination. Lock codes are changed periodically and the latest code will be included in your confirmation email.
DO HELMETS COME WITH BIKE RENTALS?
Helmets can be rented for an extra fee. Our helmets are adjustable and we bring the size that fits riders capable of riding the bike rented. During online checkout, select your bike and helmets will show up as an optional add-on.
DO BASKETS COME WITH BIKE RENTALS?
Baskets can be rented for an extra fee. During online checkout, select your bike and baskets will show up as an optional add-on.
HOW DO I ADJUST THE BIKE SEAT?
We use quick releases on our seat post for easy adjustment of the seat. Look under the seat for a lever, pull it open, slide the seat to your preferred position and close the lever to lock it back in place! Check out this video on adjusting the seat!
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT?
Kid's Seats that attach on the back have a weight limit of 40 lbs. Kid's trailers that carry 2 children should weigh less than 75 lbs combined and less than 40 lbs each. Adult bikes have a capacity of 275 lbs. Damage can occur to tires beyond these thresholds.

As we make many of our deliveries & pickups on Saturdays when very few people are on the island, we often deliver bikes and other equipment to houses with no one there. For houses on stilts, we will lock the bikes to the pilings underneath and for houses on the ground, we will find a convenient place to lock the bikes whether to the porch, side of the house or around back. Lock codes are delivered via email so only our customers and staff will be able to unlock the equipment.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I AM DONE USING THE BIKE?
Bikes should be locked up using the bike lock code in your confirmation email in a similar place where it was dropped off. At your scheduled pickup time or shortly after, we will retrieve your bike. If you get done ahead of time, you may lock it up and let us know by texting or calling (910) 250-9960. Let us know the name on the reservation and we will pickup the bike as soon as we can.

WHERE CAN I PICKUP EQUIPMENT?
Mr. Beach Rentals does not have a store. Instead, we deliver everything from our trucks. Delivery can be scheduled in advance (preferred) or for ASAP (usually under 2 hours). Mr. Beach Rentals delivers everyday during the season to Oak Island & Holden Beach from 9am-5pm and to Sunset Beach & Ocean Isle Beach on Saturdays. Delivery on all rentals is free!
WHERE DOES MR. BEACH RENTALS DELIVER?
Weekly Rentals starting on Saturday are available at Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Southport, Sunset Beach, Holden Beach and Ocean Isle Beach.
Deliveries during the week and/or for less than a week are available on Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Holden Beach and in St. James Plantation.
We can deliver any equipment to your house, hotel, condo, etc.
On Oak Island, we also offer "Park & Paddle." With this service, we meet you at 'The Point' or "Davis Creek' with kayaks and paddle boards for rentals in two hour increments. Info on the 'The Point' & 'Davis Creek' on Oak Island.
WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY HOURS?
On Oak Island and Holden Beach, we can deliver anytime between 9am-5pm; schedule ahead or we will be there as fast as we can. We deliver to Southport, Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach on Saturdays only, usually between 10am-5pm depending on traffic.

WHERE IS THE STORE LOCATED?
We do not currently have a store location. All rentals are delivered by friendly staff free of charge!
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?
Payments can be made using all major credit and debit cards online or via phone.
WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION POLICIES?
Refunds will be given for cancellations where Mr. Beach Rentals is notified 24 hours before equipment is delivered, except for a 3% fee charged by banks that we cannot return. For cancellations within 24 hours of the delivery time, customers have the option to receive a gift certificate in the amount paid or receive a refund minus a 20% restocking fee. WHAT ARE THE OPENING HOURS?
Mr. Beach Rentals office is open from 9am-5pm everyday, except when closed in the off-season! Deliveries are available 9am-5pm and sometimes before or after during the busy season! We may occasionally stop delivering early if we have nothing scheduled so don't wait until the last minute, especially in the off-season!
