About the Role
Mr. Beach Rentals is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Seasonal Delivery Drivers for the summer season! Positions begin in May or June and run through August.
This role involves driving company-owned box trucks to deliver, set up, and break down beach rental equipment for customers on Oak Island and Holden Beach. No personal vehicle is required! This is an active, outdoor position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, customer interaction, and working near the water.
Job Responsibilities
Drive company box trucks to deliver rental equipment.
Set up beach equipment including chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, bikes, and paddleboards.
Perform afternoon equipment breakdown and pickup.
Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean, inspect, and stage equipment after customer use.
Provide professional, friendly customer service at delivery locations.
Assist with basic equipment maintenance or minor repairs as needed.
Work as part of a team to complete daily delivery routes on time.
Schedule
The business operates 7 days per week.
Full-time: Typically 4 ten-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Part-time: Weekend-only availability is considered.
Note: Saturday availability is required for all delivery drivers.
Pay, Perks & Benefits
Base Pay: $16.50 per hour for all hours worked, paid weekly.
Shift Bonuses: Paid weekly in addition to your hourly rate!
Friday afternoon shift bonus: $20
Saturday full-day bonus: $40
Sunday morning shift bonus: $20
Tips: Earned from customers are additional and you keep 100%.

Free Rentals: Free use of rental equipment after work (kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, surfboards, umbrellas, chairs, and more).
Returning Employee Pay: Employees who return for additional seasons earn a higher hourly rate based on performance, reliability, and experience.
End-of-Season Bonus: Seasonal employees who work through the end of the summer season and meet minimum hour, attendance, and performance requirements may qualify for an additional completion bonus (details provided during the hiring process).
Requirements
Physical Ability: Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Driving Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and be able to pass a driving test (including backing a box truck).
Insurance Eligibility: Must be at least 19 years of age and maintain an acceptable driving record to meet our commercial auto insurance requirements.
Reliability: Must be punctual, safety-minded, and have reliable cell phone/internet access.
Attitude: Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are a must!
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Oak Island and/or Holden Beach.
Experience with delivery driving, moving, or logistics.
Mechanical aptitude or comfort fixing equipment issues (training is provided; mechanical skills can be learned on the job).
Interest in beach gear, biking, kayaking, or outdoor work.
