Mr. Beach Rentals is a 5-star outdoor rental company serving Oak Island and Holden Beach. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Seasonal Assistant Manager to run our daily operations from May/June through August/September.

In this role, you are the vital bridge between our customers and our delivery drivers. You will spend about 80% of your time at our warehouse and office—answering phones, mapping out delivery routes, taking reservations, and cleaning or fixing equipment as it comes off the trucks. The other 20% of your time will occasionally be spent doing delivery and beach gear setup support alongside the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Dispatch: Answer phones, review orders, take reservations, and act as the main point of contact between customers and drivers.

  • Logistics & Routing: Coordinate and map out daily delivery routes to ensure drivers stay on schedule.

  • Equipment Management: Clean, inspect, organize, and perform minor repairs on rental equipment at the warehouse.

  • Team Leadership: Guide and support a crew of seasonal delivery drivers to maintain our 5-star standard.

  • Delivery & Setup Support: Occasionally start or end your day by heading out to the sand to assist the team with deliveries and beach gear setups.

Schedule

  • Wednesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

  • Sunday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Pay, Perks & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive hourly rate with guaranteed built-in overtime.

  • Base Rate: $20.00 per hour

  • Overtime Rate: $30.00 per hour (for all hours worked over 40 in a week)

  • The Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (45 hours/week).

  • Note: Working this standard schedule yields $950 per week!

  • Weekly Pay: Processed directly via Square Payroll (Direct Deposit or Cash App).

Requirements

  • Experience: Strong leadership and organizational experience. (Whether your background is in customer service, logistics, or running a classroom, if you can manage moving parts, we want to talk to you!)

  • Detail-Oriented: Our software systems are easy to learn, but we need someone who double-checks the fine print on reservations, routing, and inventory.

  • Physical Ability: Must be capable of frequently lifting, carrying, and loading up to 75 lbs in the warehouse or on the beach.

  • Driving History: Must have at least 5 years of driving experience.

  • Insurance Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age and maintain an acceptable driving record to meet our commercial auto insurance requirements.

  • Attitude: A calm, organized problem-solver who can handle a fast-paced summer rush.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local knowledge of roads to help with routing.

  • Basic mechanical skills to fix minor equipment issues on the fly.
