About Mr. Beach Rentals
Founded in 2014 and originally named paddleOKI, we started renting kayaks and paddle boards to the Oak Island community! Focused on making the rental process easier and more efficient, paddleOKI quickly grew from delivering a few boats to renting bicycles, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, grills, baby gear and more! Our customers appreciate our dedication to providing the best service possible while maintaining everyday transparent low-pricing through our online booking system. Through word of mouth and our commitment to providing a fantastic rental experience, we started to deliver further away than Oak Island. With rentals spread across Southeast NC, we decided to change our name to Mr. Beach Rentals. Since 2017, Mr. Beach Rentals delivery area has included Holden Beach, Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach in addition to Southport, Oak Island and Caswell Beach. We look forward to serving you and showcasing the best Brunswick County, North Carolina has to offer!
So who is Mr. Beach Rentals?
Nathan Reich is the owner, founder and general manager of Mr. Beach Rentals. He grew up in Burlington, NC and spent the summers in Oak Island visiting and working with his grandfather. Nathan attended NC State University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. During a stay with his grandfather in 2013, Nathan wanted to try paddle boarding but was unable to find a place on Oak Island to rent them. As he had been working for some of the largest travel and entertainment companies in the world, Nathan thought he had the experience and knowledge to start a company that could be the answer to his problem. Often referred to as the "kayak guy" or "bike man" on his deliveries, Nathan embraced these nicknames in creation of Mr. Beach Rentals. Since the beginning, Mr. Beach Rentals has been dedicated to delivering the most competitive prices matched with outstanding service and equipment for the best possible rental experience!
Meet The Team
Jamie Cooke - Assistant Manager
Jamie started with Mr. Beach Rentals in 2018 as a delivery driver. He began training other delivery drivers in the summer of 2019 and has been an assistant manager ever since. Jamie has a strong mechanical background and loves to fish. On his days off, you will find him in one of the many great fishing spots on Oak Island.
